January 2007 Searches Per Engine – Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Ask

Nielson Net Ratings has Google as the winner of all searches in December – that's 50.8 percent to be exact. Following behind in second is Yahoo, with searches at 23.6 percent. At a distant third is Windows Live Search at 8.4 percent. Last but not least is AOL who saw 6.1 percent of searches.
For both December and January, Hitwise has also placed Google at the top, but this time with 63.1 percent of searches. Yahoo saw a slight drop from 21.6 percent in December to 21.4 percent volume in January.
But who gained a little share of the searches? MSN Search, who went from 9.5 percent in December to 9.9 percent in January.
Ask volume saw a slight decrease 3.7 percent in December to 3.5 percent in January. Also on the downfall was AOL, whose share of searches went from 0.6 percent in December to 0.5 percent in January.
