The cost for clicks will rise next year.
The value of pay-per-click advertising with Google Adwords has risen sharply in the past two years as many businesses and organizations have moved their entire marketing budgets online. In addition, the removal the right-side advertisements in 2016 has added more appeal to pay-per-click advertisers since their ads are now more prominent over organic search results.
To obtain the best return on investment for each ad click, your website should provide exceptional content and unsurpassed mobile usability to the user. That may be a given to most digital marketers, but to take things a step further it is important to monitor and track how pay-per-click visitors interact with your website and content.
Save Money on Clicks & Empower Your Marketing Department
There are many tools to monitor pay-per-click visitors, but one that I regularly use for clients and our business is HotJar, a completely free software that identifies how users are getting to your website and how they interact on each page.
HotJar takes video recordings that show the user’s journey of clicking on your ad (attached with a time stamp and tracking URL) all the way through navigating to different pages of your site, reading your content, watching your videos, and submitting online forms.
If your website bounce rate is up and clicks are not producing new clients, ask your webmaster or marketing company to add Hotjar code to your website, so that you can spend less and increase business. It is an invaluable tool that Google Analytics does not offer.
