Summary:
Establishing trust through the creation of invaluable content requires an enormous amount of research, creativity, and hard work. Since Electric Lemonade’s work is focused on educational content, we wanted to test our ability at taking a difficult government-related topic and distilling it into something easy to digest.
Goals
To create a an educational piece of content about the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century that was more comprehensive and easier to understand than any existing content online. In turn, this piece would naturally attract high quality, authoritative links and attention from major news and media organizations.
Solution
Our staff collected and fact checked an abundant amount of information from many government agencies and trusted resources. We then organized the information into a layperson format, so that anyone—from a young person to senior citizen— could comprehend the content. Finally, we added things like sub headings for easier skimming and optimized the content for an exceptional mobile experience.
Results
“What is TEA 21?” has attracted tens of thousands of web visitors and was featured in an MTV news story that covered both federal and Texas laws that related to the Transportation Equity Act.
